Opening our doors in 2006, Building Blocks Ministries was created to provide essential, ongoing support to adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Over the years, we have become a trusted partner in delivering personalized programs that promote independence, community integration, and long-term personal growth.
Building Blocks is dedicated to fostering full inclusion and participation of individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of the community.
Our mission is to empower adults with developmental disabilities to dream, believe in themselves, and engage in training that supports individual achievements. We are committed to enhancing lives through skill development, community involvement, and personalized support.
In February of 2024 we moved into our thoughtfully designed building, specifically created to empower adults with developmental disabilities; fostering independence, growth, and connection. The architecture blends functionality with warmth, featuring accessible spaces that encourage autonomy in daily activities while promoting community interaction. Its open and spacious layout allows for ease of movement, while personalized classrooms provide a sense of belonging, comfort and individualized learning. The life skills training space is a spacious, versatile environment designed to accommodate various learning activities and practical life skills development. It features a comfortable café area that encourages social interaction and provides a space for relaxation and informal learning. Equipped with a dishwasher and stackable washer and dryer, the space is fully functional and supports real-life scenarios for learners. The multipurpose area is designed for social engagement and collaboration, nurturing a supportive environment for individuals to form meaningful connections with peers and staff. The overall design encourages a sense of dignity and respect, enhancing the lives of the individuals who call this place home.
